Brahmanandam Biography
Brahmanandam is an Indian actor who performs comedy characters in Telugu film industry. He is one of the greatest comedians of this era and has won many awards and honors to his credit. He also got a place in the Guinness World of Records for performing in most number of films in a particular language.
Brahmanandam was born on 1st February 1956 Muppala village near Sattenapalli in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. He completed his master’s degree in Telugu and was working as a lecturer in a town called Attili in West Godavari district. His wife’s name is Lakshmi and they have two sons named Raja Goutham and Siddharth. His elder son Gautam also entered the film industry through the film Pallakilo Pellikooturu.
He was spotted by Jandhyala who helped him to enter film industry. His debut film was Sri Tatavataram Katha. He got a good opening and went to perform in more than 900 movies. His physical comedy and satire made him very popular.
He had the experience of performing in the Inter Collegiate Competitions when studying at Narasaraopet and this gave him good experience. His impeccable expressions and comic abilities gave him chance in more number of films that he has performed in over 900 films to date.
He has been honored with Padma Shri Award by Indian government and honorable doctorate degree by Acharya Nagarjuna University. He received Allu Award for his achievements on 1st October 2005.
Some of his films are Athaku Yamudu Ammayiki Mogudu, Yudda Bhoomi, Chikkadu Dorakadu, Chinni Krishnudu, Donga Kollu, Vivaaha Bhojanambu, Swayam Krushi, Rudra Veena, Sudigadu, Rachcha, Gabbar Singh, Nuvva Nena, Brindaavanam, Don Seenu, Vedam, Simha, Varudu, Panchakshari, Kalyanram Kathi, Orange, etc.
