Deepak Nivas Hudda Biography

Deepak Niwas Hooda is an Indian Kabaddi player from Rohtak, Haryana. He is a former player of National Kabaddi team, and was a team member which won gold medal at the 2016 South Asian Games. He has also played first three seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League since 2014, and has played for Telugu Titans and Puneri Paltan. At the auction of the inaugural season of the Pro Kabaddi League in 2014, Deepak won the second highest bid for a whooping amount of 12.6 lakh by the Telugu Titans. He played with Telugu Titans for first two seasons, and then with Puneri Paltan for the third and fourth seasons.

 

Deepak Ram Niwas Hooda was born on 10 June 1994 in Chamaria, Rohtak of Haryana state. He was born into a family of farmers. He lost his mother at the age of 4, and his father in 2013 when he was doing his higher secondary studies. He started playing kabaddi in his village in 2009. After the death of his father in his late teens, he became the sole breadwinner of his family. He left his studies and become a part-time teacher to fulfill his career dreams. In those days, he used to go to other villages and practised Kabaddi which improved his skills a lot. He pursued his graduation, yet discontinued studies to pursue a career in Kabaddi.

 

He played at the All-India University tournament and won a gold medal. His decision to quit studies and concentrate on Kabaddi came after that. Very soon he joined Haryana state team, and also played for the team which won Senior National level tournament in Patna in 2014. He joined national team in 2016, and there was no turning back after that.
