Hima Shankar Biography 
Hima Shankar is an Indian actress associated with Malayalam films and short films. She is also stage personality, known as a play director as well as stage actress. Currently she is a contestant of celebrity reality show, Bigg Boss Malayalam 1 and got evicted on day 21. But she re-entered the show on day 49 as a wildcard entry. The show has given the actress immense popularity and fame among Malayali audience. She played the role of Bhagavati in the well-known short film, Yaksham in 2016. Kalpaanthakaalam, Kani, Spicy Girls, One Fine Day, Zyme, Sharkarasya Gajah etc are a few more. She is known for playing bold roles.
Hima Shankar hails from Thrissur. She was born on 2 June 1987 to N K Shankaran Kutty and E V Kumari. Kodakara is her native place. She completed her graduation in Sanskrit Vedanta from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. During her college days she got interested in theater. So she pursued Master’s degree in Theatre Arts from University of Calicut School of Drama and Fine Arts, Thrissur. She has acted and also directed a few plays since then.
Since 2010 she is quite active in theater. Her stint in theater helped her to bag a few short films, TV serials and feature film roles. She has been featured in several ads as well. She played the supporting role of Jennifer in TV serial, Ente Manasaputhri on Asianet. Known to be an outspoken person in real life, she gives her opinion on current social issues. For the same reason she often appears in debates for TV shows.
