Jaspal Singh Biography 
Jaspal Singh is a famous playback singer associated with Bollywood in the 1970s and 1980s. He is best known for rendering his voice for some of the most popular songs of actor Sachin. Nadiya Ke Paar of 1982 includes some of his most popular songs sung for Sachin. He sang three out of six songs of the film originally composed by Ravindra Jain. His songs "Kaun Disaa Mein Le Ke" and "Jogiji Dheere Dheere" are still popular. Sanchi Kahe Tore Aavan Se is a solo song sung by Singh for the movie. Geet Gaata Chal O Saathi from Geet Gaata Chal and Bade Badai Na Kare from Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se are next two very popular songs sung by Jaspal for actor Sachin in Ravindra Jain’s compositions. The composer frequently used this singer’s voice to record many of his songs.
He was born in Amritsar. Since school days he participated in singing competitions. He also participated in singing competitions while at college. After studies he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood as a playback singer. His talent was first noticed by female composer Usha Khanna in the year 1968. She gave him chance to sing in professional level. However in the glorious era of Rafi and Kishore songs, he could earn only limited success and most of his songs went unnoticed.
He struggled to make a career in singing and travelled between Amritsar, Mumbai and Delhi frequently in hope of good chances. He started practising law and lived in Mumbai for his livelihood. He also faced pressure from his father to take law as profession. His big break happened in the year 1975 when Ravindra Jain recorded 6 out of 10 songs in Singh’s voice. The movie was a hit, and as a composer Jain also earned recognition. The title track sung by Jaspal Singh for Sachin was a chartbuster hit. Since then he became the ghost voice of this actor, who mostly played lead roles in small budget films, and ravindra Jain composed music of these films as well. Title track of Sawan Ko Aane Do composed by Rajkamal is yet another popular song of Singh.
