Naveen Jindal Biography 
Naveen Jindal is a businessman and politician from Hisar, Haryana. He served as a member of parliament in the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha, representing Kurukshetra constituency of Haryana. Naveen currently serves as the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited. He is born to businessman and former parliamentarian, Om Prakash Jindal. His mother Savitri Jindal is Minister of State for Revenue, Disaster Management, Rehabilitation and Housing in Haryana state government. His brother Sajjan Jindal is a business executive, who currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Steel, India's largest private steel producer. He along with his three siblings, Prithviraj, Ratan and Sajjan run family business inherited from their family.
He was born in Hissar in 1970 to business tycoon and philanthropist Om Prakash Jindal and his wife Savitri Jindal as the youngest of 3 sons. He is married to Kuchipudi dancer Shallu Jindal, who is associated with his family business right now. The couple founded the Flag Foundation of India. They have 2 kids. Naveen’s childhood and teens were spent in Delhi where he completed his schooling and graduation. He graduated in Commerce from Hans Raj College, Delhi University in 1990 and took an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1992, where he was the President of the Student Government and associated with many student activities.
While at Dallas, Jindal displayed the Indian flag whenever possible as a symbol of patriotism and it prompted him to start Flag Foundation of India, aside his wife. In 2010, his concept to allow MPs to display the national flag as a lapel pin while at parliament was accepted. He entered politics in 2004 and has been elected to parliament twice representing Indian National Congress.
