Priyadarshini is a successful Tamil actress, Video Jockey and television anchor. She is a top television anchor right now. She works in movies and television as an actress. She is the sibling of Divyadarshini, who is also a TV compere and television actress. In 2007, Priya made a cameo appearance in Tamil movie, Puli Varudhu. Yet she is fully concentrated in television career doing serials and anchoring many popular shows. Most recently she appeared in television show Maanada Mayilada as a contestant, where she was elected winner sharing the prize with Bala and the choreographer Mani. Earlier she has also won "Best female dancer" award at Vijay TV’s Boys vs Girls, a dance reality program. She is 35 right now and still single.
Her full name is Priyadarshini Neelakandan. She was born on June 4, 1978 at Singapore. From childhood days, Priya has been an excellent dancer. The dance show, Maanada Mayilada, where she was declared winner is the best instance. She is also a successful television actress who has acted in serials like Manidarkal, Vizhudugal, Kanavugal, Ethanai, Ilavasam, Kolangal, Rekha IPS, Vasantham and Tharkappu Kalai Theeratha. She has received many film offers and has worked in a few as well.
Priyadarshini’s career started with television in the year 1998 where she appeared in daily soap, Vizhudugal on DD Podhigai. Her first appearance was noted and later she received numerous offers. Still now, this role is close to her heart, aside Kanavugal Ilavasam. She received Mylapore Academy Award for best actress for her acting skills in Ethanai Manidargal. At present she is a star anchor of Vijay TV and Kalaignar and a talented anchor/VJ who conducts any program with great poise and charm.
