Saranya Ponvannan Biography 
Saranya Ponvannan is an Indian film actress who appears in the films of Tamil language. She was acting in lead roles in 1980s and after a short break, she started to act in supporting roles and mother characters.
Saranya was born on 26th April 1970 in Alleppey in Kerala. Her father A.B. Raj is a popular film director. She entered film industry through the film Nayagan with Kamal Haasan in the female lead role. This film by Mani Ratnam was a huge success and she started acting in many films after that.
She married actor Ponvannan in 1995 and stopped acting in films after that. She has two daughters. In the year 2000 she made a comeback through the comedy television series titled Veettukku Veedu Lootty. She then accepted some supporting roles in films also. She is a very talented actress and got many awards for her excellence in acting.
