Bonsai trees – dwarfs among the plants; yet most expensive ones. Bonsai trees may even cost in lakhs in open markets. Now bonsai cultivation is a good business too. If you are able to keep note of these points, Bonsai garden is also possible for you.

Select only healthy saplings to make bonsai. Closely observing its leaves and branches, you can determine its future shape.
If you choose plants from seeded ones, select yours once leaves have spouted. Choose only the best with good leaves and health. Plants with less height but numerous branches are the best ones.
If you choose plants born from seeds, it takes long time to grow. Those plants that grow on rocks or buildings are good for making bonsai.
It’s also possible to make bonsais using grafting method. Choose matured branches while using this process.
Each plant has its own structure and behaviour. So, a few plants/trees may not be suitable for making bonsai. Beauty of bonsai depends on how tree and its branches branch later. If it takes irregular and unpredicted shapes, that’s the beauty of real bonsai. So, search for such beautiful trees.
Busy type tree with small leaves is the best choice. If you choose trees with fruits and flowers, it’s really a fantastic choice. It is a real treat to eyes.
Choose pots one-third size of the plant. Beautiful flower pots are available with vast bottom.
Mix soil and natural fertilizers in the pot in such a way that water can drain easily. Fill the pot with this mixture and then you can plant young plant. Give only sufficient water. If you want to give fertilizers or manure, mix with a little water and pour in the pot.
Comb the excess leaves and branches before you plant the plant in the pot. Irregular branches and leaves should be removed. Providing an artificial fence to allow it to grow is the next step.
When the pot is filled with roots, it’s time to change soil. Cut off excess roots and plant it again using a new potting mixture.
Drift wood and stones can be used in the pot according to your imagination to spread the roots of bonsai tree.
Age, interesting shape and structure and category group of the plant are the important factors noted while choosing a bonsai.
