Sughashini's dream was to prove herself in TV industry and she has made her dream come true. She was born in a village called Kolliparu of Guntur. Her father was a farmer and mother was a house wife. She was a very intelligent student, but she did not have any particular goal until she entered her college. When she was doing her degree, she got attracted to a news reader called Sangeetha who was working in Dooradarshan. She always dreamt to be like her, so she used to take the magazines and read like new reader Sangeetha.

As her family was very traditional, they refused her to enter in this field and told her strictly to concentrate on studies and work in some office if possible. She tried to convinc them saying that, if not for TV she will work for radio station, but her parent did not agree to send her to Hyderabad for new reader training. After completion of degree she joined in PG, but in early days of her admission she got married to a man who was working as a HR manager in a private organization. After getting a kid, one day she saw an advertisement calling for employment in ETV channel, and expressed her feeling with her husband, she felt very happy when her husband said yes to her. She felt nervous, when she was number of candidates attending the interview, but at last she was selected. But she had to go to Chennai for training, which was very difficult for her, as her kid was just one year old. So she decided to work as a TV anchor rather than News Reader.

And finally she started her career by working in a program called 'Cine Ranjanee', she gained very good name with this program. Later she started working in 'Jeevana Rekha', 'Hrudyam', 'Sakhi', 'Thirthayathra', 'Telugu Velugu', 'Rashi Chakram', etc. totally she worked for more than 1000 episodes. Anchor Subhashini says "When I started my career, my relatives did not like this, but later everything changed. Whenever I go to my native place, all of them respect me like a great celebrity, once they organized a program for me. One unforgettable incident is that, the college where I have completed my education called me as a guest in the Silver Jubilee function and awarded me a special award. I got many appreciations for my talking style. But though I have completed my 15years in my dream career, I feel that I have many more things to learn."
