Seafood

Seafood is a staple diet of coastal regions of India. It consists of Fish, Prawns, Lobster, etc. You can get some of the best seafood in the coastal regions of south India like Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and even Andhra Pradesh is not far away. Some of the best seafood that I have ever had has been in Karnataka. In Gokarna you get lovely seafood especially the Mackerel fry in Namaste café. Fish and chips are one of the best items in seafood.

My personal favorite has to be Prawns but prawns are extremely expensive. These days fish is also very expensive. The difference types of fish available in Karnataka are Pomfret, Angel, Kane, Mackerel, etc. there are different ways of preparing fish. The most famous being the notable fish curry and Udupi is one of the best places to enjoy a delicious fish curry. Most people in the coastal live on this diet and this diet is known as way healthier than anything else.

Seafood is known to have many properties which make your mind sharp and keep your system healthy and as a plus point it is also tasty. Fish and prawns can also be grilled which is a very effective way of increasing the taste. They can be either deep fried or fried naked but most people prefer deep fried. Now lobsters are very different. Most of the body of the lobster is made of a hard shell and the flesh is stored between. Even though you might find it difficult to eat it is totally worth it because of the taste.

Most people in India depend on either chicken or just vegetables but seafood delicacies are some of the best food items which everyone must try. Goa is one of the best places for seafood. Almost each and every place in Goa prepares very good seafood especially fish. Mangalore and Udupi in Karnataka also make a mean combination in terms of seafood which is totally worth trying out. I mean what could be better than food items which not only taste good but also improve your health?
