Asana (Exercise)

These asanas strengthen, stretch, and tone the muscles, improve the flexibility of spine and joints, and improve the body balance and posture.

Pranayama (Breathing)

Pranayamic breathing is required to achieve all the benefits of a yoga practice -- a breath that is rhythmical and uses all of the lung muscles to absorb oxygen. Correct techniques are necessary for the perfect and proper execution of yoga postures. To achieve it, a correct breathing control is required. According to yoga philosophy, it is said that proper breath control means to have a full control over the mind. This also helps you to become more focused and have a calm and peaceful mind.

Savasana (Relaxation)

Proper practicing of asanas and breathing exercises will give you deep relaxation. The ancient practice of yoga uses this powerful technique that enables a person go into a state of deep relaxation. But in today’s time, relaxation is necessary to reduce and manage stress. The relaxation techniques ease, revitalize, and release tension from the whole body. 

Sattvic (Diet)

Eating a clean and balanced diet is one of the vital elements in a yoga practice that impact the body and mind. Yoga diet is a sattvic diet that focuses on a vegetarian diet. Even some yoga practitioners follow a vegan diet. Sattvic food enhances the yoga practice towards a holistic rejuvenation of the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga says a strict ‘no’ to meat consumption, as meat products create a distraction and consume a lot of body energy during the digestion process.

Dhyana (Meditation)

The final stage and the most crucial facet of a yoga practice. Meditation is the stage where we go into a deep sleep, where the mind becomes calm, peaceful and is free from agitation. It is a point where all the yoga practice pivot. When you are in Dhyana, you slowly and gradually gain control over the mind, and then over the body. Meditation helps develop a sense of self, generate self-awareness, and connects you with the inner-self.
