In any metro city in India we see a lot of people complaining about the traffic, they say the traffic is the sole reason why they reach late to work EVERYDAY. The traffic is responsible for their cars breaking down and the traffic is responsible for the way their wives treat them. Come on guys. We are all a part of a whole and let’s learn to live that way. The traffic is just a small part of this whole and the sooner we learn to live with it the easier it will be to cope with the nuances of traffic.
Let me give you some tips on how to stay ahead of the traffic issues and work your way to work effectively. By staying ahead in the traffic I do not mean zooming ahead by breaking traffic rules but what I mean is reaching your office or workspace easily and effectively. Let’s start.
- One of the most important parts is to leave home early: Leave home 15 minutes in advance compared to the estimated time you take to reach. This will help you reach before time and in most cases drive sensibly as you are not rushing and will help prevent accidents.
- Carry a bottle of water in the car: It always helps as staring hydrated is important in Indian conditions. It is also seen that a thirsty person is more irritable than a person who is well hydrated.
- Carry motivational CD’s or music: This will help you spend your time effectively and will be an amazing tool to make all he hours you spend at your desk productive.
- Shun away the phone: talking on the phone while driving is illegal, but many people who think they “text like a boss” and continuously keep texting while driving. These habits can cause major accidents, sometime fatal!
- Use common sense: this is the most important factor especially on Indian roads. Make sure you are always on the right lane and take utmost care of the people turning in front of you or behind you.
Because someone is waiting for you at HOME, not the HOSPITAL!
