When I read the news that an Indian girl had won the Guiness book of world record as the shortest woman in the world, I was interested to know more about her. Her name is Jyothi Amge, born on 16th December1993 in Nagpur. So cute, little girl looks as if she is just 2 or 3 years old child, whereas she is a 18 yr old teenager.. Her height is 62.8 cm (2 ft 0.7 inch) and weighs just 5 kg. Jyoti has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia and will not grow any taller than her current height. Due to her size she has to get her clothes, Jewellery, cutlery, bed and all in custom size specially made for her. She is very fun loving and enjoys talking to her friends on the phone.
With a bright smile in her face, dressed up well Jyothi always likes to be active and attended school regularly since she was four years old. She was treated normally like other pupils, the one thing is that she needs a chair and desk of a small size specially for her. All her teachers and friends in her school gave Jyothi a very good support. Jyothi secured 73% marks in her SSC examination. Apart from her studies she is also good at extracurricular activities like dancing and painting. According to Guiness Book of World record she is the first Indian woman to win the tittle of the shortest woman.
I really admire her self confidence. Normally if anyone has some abnormalities, they would feel shy and avoid themselves in the public gatherings and functions thereby creating an inferiority complex in themselves. But Jyothi is completely different from this . Though her height is short, she had a very high ambitions. She loves fashion and make up and her ambition was to become a Bollywood actress. She also succeeded in it as becoming an actress. At present she is acting in a Kannada film. Her dream of becoming a Bollywood actress is also set to come true next year. She is also planning to release an album with her favorite rap singer Mika Singh.
Jyothi has been declared officially by the Guiness Book of World records as the worlds shortest woman on her 18th birthday December 16th 2011. When Jyothi was handed the certificate mentioning her world record she could not control her tears of joy rolling down from her eyes. She said that she has got the best birthday gift .
I am very much impressed by her positive approach towards life. We should overcome all our obstacles and explore our strength hidden inside us.No one is usually born with a positive thinking, it is acquired by a healthy environment around us.Mostly parents and teachers play a major role in developing ones personality. They should find the strength and weakness of a child and motivate them to bring out their hidden strength and encourage them to overcome their weakness and obstacles and succeed in their life...
