SRK-Kajol pair – people are never bored with this pair though they have completed 20 years as pair onscreen. They worked together for the first time in Baazigaar in 1993 and in the past 20 years, they have done 6 movies together. It’s not a big surprise that all these movies are big hits too, making them the most popular pair of Bollywood. It’s true both have helped each other in nourishing their filmy career. Yet Bollywood lovers can’t imagine Hindi cinema without SRK-Kajol pair or Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge – the movie that runs in releasing theatre of Metro city Mumbai even after 18 years of its release, adding it to the history of Indian cinema and box office records!

Baazigar was that one movie that established Shah Rukh Khan as a successful star of Bollywood. Though his role contained negative shades, he was loved by millions and through his movie, he won the best actor Filmfare award for the first time. People danced a lot with foot tapping number ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali  aankhen’ of Anu Malik and they watched closely the pair SRK-Kajol, that’s going to make history in the distant future. After 2 years, two movies were released in 1995 pairing them again. Karan Arjun and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge put the couple to new heights and gave them the tag of best onscreen pair of Bollywood during 90’s. DDLH helped them both to win their Filmfare awards and it was almost confirmed that, it may repeat in future also.

It proved true too, when they repeated the history in 1998 with block buster Kuch kuch hota hai. People loved her and cried with her too; they were appreciated most for their silent love and the way they attain success at last. This movie marked the beginning of Karan Johar as actor, who has worked with them both as a friend in the movie DDLJ in 1995. It was decided then, that he will surely pair them both for his debut movie. This movie again gave them Filmfare awards. Not only that Karan Johan-Shah Rukh-Kajol trio has given 2 more blockbusters later repeating the same history, even after 20 years! Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum – the family drama is remembered for naughty acting skills of Kajol while we saw her growing as a mature mother who losses her son, in My name is Khan. No doubt, this couple is still to make great wonders onscreen. Time and age can never cause hindrance to real talents and admirations – the success behind SRK-Kajol pair is a live example for that truth.
