Aakanksha Singh is a successful television actress, stage actress and physical therapist. She is best known for playing the title role of Megha Mohan Bhatnagar in the television series - Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. The title role of a widow and mother of two children, earned her quick fame and appreciation among television audience. She was casted opposite Kunal Karan Kapoor for this successful series. She won Fresh New Face award 2012 for the series. Later she played the same role in the same series next near. Currently she plays the female protagonist in Gulmohar Grand - a mini-series consisting of 26 episodes. She was also seen in Savdhaan India.

She belongs to Jaipur, Rajasthan, born in the year 1990. She has theatre experience and has worked in more than 10 plays as protagonist before entering television. She made her television entry through Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha which was widely appreciated by audience. Not only that, she received Telly award for best new comer for this series. Aakanksha believes that Na Bole Tum was the best thing that happened to her. She is also known by nick names - Megha Bhatnagar, Mirchi Madam etc.

She is believed to be one of the finest actors of television industry at present. She has also some amazing writing skills. She writes poems, stories, songs, shayaris and gazals since school days. She enjoyed writing since her childhood and she got this talent from her mother. She writes about nature, women, love and relationships. She was brilliant in her studies and has been a University topper. She got engaged to marketing professional Kunal Sain in 2013. They married one year later in a traditional ceremony in Jaipur on 7 December 2014.
