Aishwarya Devan Biography
Aishwarya Devan is a south Indian film actress from Kerala. Made her film debut in the year 2011 with the Telugu film – Keratam she appears in all south Indian language films since then. In 2012, she made her Malayalam debut with Simhasanam, and Tamil debut with Chennaiyil Oru Naal. In 2013 she entered Kannada cinema with Jai Lalitha, thus marking her film debut in all south Indian language films. Ayya 2 and Shankara are her upcoming Kannada releases, while Kandupidi Kandupidi is her next Tamil release. It’s quite surprising a Facebook picture of hers led her to the silver screen debut.
Aishwarya is of Malayali origin, born to Malayali parents in 1993. She was born and brought up in Bangalore. Her mother Sheeja Devan hails from Shornur. After a brief role in Telugu film Keratam (2011), she was introduced to Malayalam screen by director Shaji Kailas. She received the parallel lead opposite Prithviraj in the film Simhasanam soon after Plus two. She had just completed plus two and was planning to join college, when she got two major offers, Simhasanam in Malayalam and Yuvan. A photograph of hers on facebook attracted the attention of two directors – Gautam Patnaik and Deepan, which gave her, the major break to the industry.
Gautam gave her the break through the movie, Yuvan, while Deepan introduced her to Shaji Kailas who gave her the first Malayalam break. Later she joined film scene and pursued her bachelor’s degree in English literature via correspondence. Born into a non-filmy family, though Aishwarya dreamt to become an actress she never thought her dreams would come true. She decided to join fashion designing or modelling before she got the first break. Later she was seen as Jennifer Mary Tony in Shahid Khader’s Chennaiyil Oru Naal, followed by Bala’s The Hit List and Major Ravi’s Karma Yodha.
