Arunima Sharma Biography

Arunima Sharma is a popular actress associated with Hindi television, best known for playing Rano Bali in Kasamh Se, aired on ZEE TV. She plays Rano, the youngest of three sisters who play protagonists in the show. Sharma is also the younger sister of Dipannita Sharma, a well-known Bollywood actress of 16 December fame and a supermodel. Arunima played Sonu Agarwal in the Star Plus series Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki from 2006 to 2007. Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai is yet another noted work of Arunima.

She was born on 23 August 1981 in Duliajan, Assam. Her father was a doctor in a central hospital of Oil India Ltd. at Duliajan. She did early education was completed in Assam. She moved to Mumbai in 1997 for further studies. She took up the subject of Food and Nutrition and did her Masters in the same subject. By that time her elder sister Dipannita Sharma turned a busy model and very soon Arunima too followed the same suit. She couldn’t find suitable job according to her educational qualifications, and that’s also one reason for her to join television.

She made her portfolio by a fashion photographer and then sent it to different production houses. Later she received a call to attend the auditions for Balaji Telefilms. She was quite nervous and couldn’t get through in the auditions. Later she worked hard on her acting skills, and frequently attended auditions to get a role in TV industry. In 2004, she was seen in a supporting role in youth oriented show, Remix. Arunima played the character of Ira for more than 25 episodes. Very soon she bagged more roles from TV dramas. Balaji Telefilms offered her the role of Alia in ‘Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai’, and with Kasamh Se, she gained immense popularity. But she had to leave the show in middle due to back pain.
