Disha Parmar Biography

Disha Parmar is a successful television actress, most popularly known for the television soap, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara of Star Plus, where she played the role of Pankhudi. It was her debut small screen appearance too, which gathered her many awards at different award nights. Before entering television she has appeared in several television ads as well as print ads.

Disha Parmar is basically from Delhi. She was born on 11 November 1994. She completed her schooling from Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls. She was in class 12 when she was offered to play the lead in Rajshri's Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. So she left her studies to grab the role and became successful as well. Her family initially opposed her decision to act, as they wanted her to complete her studies first. But later they agreed. Now she is staying in Mumbai with her parents and brother. She was paired opposite Nakuul Mehta in this Rajshri Productions. Very often, she is being compared to Juhi Parmar as they have similar looks and both possess the ideal ‘bahus’ of Indian television industry.

Since school days, she has participated in dance programs and fashion shows. She also worked in a Delhi-based company called Elite Model Management India Pvt. Ltd, for about a year. She got her dream entry when her company conducted the auditions for ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’. But she had to leave her studies to accept the lead role. She received Fresh New Face award at Indian Telly Awards and Favourite NayaSadasya at STAR Parivaar Awards for the year 2013, for this single role.
