Gagan Malik Biography
Gagan Malik is a popular television actor associated with Hindi television industry. He is best known for playing the lead role Ram in Ramayan, aired on ZEE TV in 2012-2013. Quite successful with mythological shows, he currently plays multiple roles of Lord Krishna, Rama and Vishnu in the series, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman aired on Sony TV since 2015. He was also seen in the series Shakuntala, playing a pivot role. Started his career in 2008 with the show Kumkum, he later acted in the popular shows - Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan, Shakuntala, Rishton Se Badi Pratha and Navya.
He is a Delhite who currently stays in Mumbai. He started his television career in 2008 with the show Kumkum. He portrayed the role of Sharman Wadhwa in the show. Same year he bagged two more shows - Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan and Shakuntala, for which he portrayed the noted character roles of Uday Singh and Senapati Veer respectively. After that he took a break from the scene and returned in a bang, bagging the lead role of Ram in the mythological series, Ramayan, aired on ZEE TV in 2012. The show gave a big break to his acting career and proved him to be a good actor for mythological shows. After the show, he received good compliments from audience also and he was compared to Arun Govil of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan aired on Doordarshan in the 1980s.
Earlier too he has been selected for the role of Krishna for one series. However things didn’t happen. Later he was lucky enough to play the role of Krishna in the series - Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman. He was also seen in the film Siddhartha The Buddha, where he played the title role of Prince Siddhartha. The movie was shown at many international film festivals and won many awards too. He also receives comments that he resembles Mohit Raina in Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev.
