Gurpreet Singh (actor) Biography
Gurpreet Singh is an actor associated with Hindi film and television industry. Kahiin to Hoga and Saarrthi on Star Plus, Maayka on Zee TV, Durgesh Nandinii on Sony television etc are among his popular television roles. He was also featured in a music video Sajanwa, directed by Anurag Basu. Phhir produced by Vikram Bhatt, Madhubala, Okkadine, and Bhayy are his film roles in Bollywood and south Indian cinema. Gurpreet mostly portrays supporting roles on small and big screen.
Gurpreet Singh was born on 28 November 1978 in New Delhi. He married Punjabi music video model Kanishka Sodhi in 2005. But they are separated now, and filed divorce in 2010. He is associated with Hindi television since 2005, and his first show was Kahiin to Hoga where he portrayed the role of Sujal Garewal /Tushar opposite Aamna Shariff. He replaced Rajeev Khandelwal in this show, which earned him popularity. Till now he is best known for this popular family drama. He appeared in the show for two years till 2007.
In 2007 he played the role of Rudr Singh in Saarrthi, followed by Sikander in Durgesh Nandinii. He was paired with Rinku Ghosh for this series. Maayka, Mahabharat and Rangrasiya are some of his roles later. He currently plays the role of King Ambhi in 2017-2018 series, Porus. Rati Pandey is his co-star for this popular show. His first film role was Madhubaala in 2006 and was later seen in Phhir co-starring Adah Sharma and Rajneesh Duggal.
In 2013 he bagged his first south Indian project. He appeared in a supporting role in Nara Rohit - Nithya Menon starrer Telugu film, Okkadine. It’s his only south Indian film up-to-date. He was off the radar for quite some time, was back in action with this action flick.
