Manraj Singh Biography

Manraj Singh is a popular television actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry since 2014. He also appears in web series at present. He is best known for playing the lead role of Jugal in the web series Romil & Jugal. Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai in 2014 was his first screen role, followed by the lead role in Romil & Jugal which gave him the major break, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain, Qayamat Ki Raat, Kaleerein and Abhay. He is one actor who has enjoyed success on the web space and is now working on TV.

Manraj Singh belongs to Sikh family. He shocked his family when he cut his hair at the age of 19. He believes in spirituality rather than religion. As an actor he began his career with theatre, and later pursued his career in Mumbai. He got his first break to television through Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai in 2014, playing the supporting role of Nrigank, a recurring role. Yet it took three more years to get next acting role.

He bagged the lead role of web series, Romil & Jugal, which shot him to instant fame. He shared screen space with Rajeev Siddhartha for this popular web series which dealt with the subject of gay love story. Both the actors also received critical acclaim. Yet he didn’t feel uncomfortable kissing his co-star Rajeev Sidhartha. The series was supposed to be a film but the plan got scrapped because the Supreme Court passed Article 377. He even auditioned for the role. Later the makers made it into a web series. Manraj believes in trying out various subjects and genres. He doesn’t want to get stuck in a single medium as well.
