Monica Sharma is a noted actress associated with Hindi television soaps. She played the parallel lead role of Avni Piyush Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka, which earned her recognition and success. The show is the sixth longest running Indian television and one of the top rated shows always. The show ended in March 2018 after a long run of around 7 years since 2011. The supporting character of Gautami in television series Naagin 2 is yet another noted role played by Sharma on mini screen. Dilli Wali Thakur Girls in 2015 is her debut series, where she essayed the role of Chandralekha Laxminarayn Thakur, also known as Chandi. She is also a successful model.

Monica Sharma hails from capital city New Delhi. Her school education was completed at Happy Model School, Janakpuri of Delhi city. She has been successful model and participated in several beauty contests before she forayed into small screen. She won ‘Miss Grand India 2014’ title in Indian Princess beauty contest and she represented India at Miss Grand International held in Bangkok, Thailand. She finished one among the top 20 finalists and also won the subtitle - Best National Costume competition of the contest.

She marked her television debut through Dilli Wali Thakur Girls in 2015. Monica portrayed the role of Chandralekha, one of the five sisters in the television show. Very soon she bagged a meaty role in very popular television series, Sasural Simar Ka, which gave her immense fame and popularity. Her role as Avni Piyush Bharadwaj, Simar's Daughter-In-Law earned appreciation. Roles came pouring in, and she bagged the role of Gautami in Ekta Kapoor's fantasy series, Naagin 2.
