Nandish Sandhu Biography
Nandish Sandhu is an Indian television actor and a model who became famous after his role in the television show Kasturi aired on Star Plus. He is also appearing in many television commercials. He is very interested in drug eradication and heads the anti drug campaign launched in Delhi and trying to expand it to other major Indian cities.
Nandish Sandhu was born on 25th December 1981 in Bharatpur in Rajasthan. He belongs to a Jat family and is called by various names as Raunak, Yasir, Rahul, Saket, Veer, Aditya and Ali. His family moved to Dholpur when he was a small boy and he did his schooling at St. Peters and later at the Royal Indian Military College Dholpur Military School. He is much interested in pursuing a degree in Hotel Management and so joined the IHM at Mumbai.
He started his career at Taj Hotels when he got calls to do modeling. He walked the ramp of Rohit Munjal and also appeared in many print media ads. He started his television career by playing antagonist role in the show Kasturi aired on Star Plus by Ekta Kapoor. Seeing his remarkable performance Ekta Kapoor gave him opportunity to act in his another show Kayamath.
He did his third show with Balaji Telefilms but he was shot into limelight only after his performance in the show Uttaran in protagonist role aired on Colors. He was critically acclaimed for his acting talents and established him as one of the lead protagonist of Indian television.
He acted alongside Rashmi Desai in the show Uttaran and they fell in love with each other. They had a court marriage in the year 2011. Again they married in a grand ceremony on 12th February 2012 held in Rajasthan.
Some of the television shows he has acted include Kasturi, Kayamath, Khwaish, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, Uttaran, Laughter Ke Phatke, Jhansi Ki Rani, Comedy Circus, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Phir Subah Hogi, etc.
