Neha Marda Biography

Neha Marda is a popular actress on Hindi television serials. She is best known for playing the role of Gehna in the most popular series, Balika Vadhu series of Colors TV. She also played the role of Urmi in Zee TV's Doli Armaanon Ki. She also played the roles of Vrinda in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Sunaina in Jo Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi. She was also seen in Saath Rahega Always, Doli Armaanom ka, Ek Thi Rajkumari and Mamta. Apart from dance shows Boogie Woogie and Kaboom, she has also appeared in the reality dance show - Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 most recently in 2015.

She was born in Kolkata West Bengal on September 23, 1985. In 2012, she married a Patna-based businessman Ayushman Agrawal. Though she has been associated with television serials since 2008 and appeared in bit roles in movies, she shot to fame after doing Balika Vadhu. The actress used to watch the CDs of Bandit Queen to get into the skin of her character Gehna in Balika Vadhu. Neha quit her popular show soon after her marriage to Ayushman as she left Mumbai to Patna and it was a purely arranged marriage. She went for a 1-month honeymoon to Australia soon after marriage. They also travelled Goa followed by Agra and Bhopal.

Though took a small break after marriage, she made a comeback through popular shows like Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Doli Armaanom ka. She played a notable character role in Ek Thi Rajkumari, the lead roles played by Arjun Singhaniya and Priya. As a child dancer, she has participated in Woogie Boogie.
