Raja Bundela Biography
Raja Bundela is an Indian actor, civil activist and politician. He played regular roles on Doordarshan in the 1990s and has been associated with Bollywood and Indian television as well. He is married to popular film and television actress, Sushmita Mukherjee. Bundela is the acting president of Bundelkhand Mukti Morcha, which campaigns for a separate Bundelkhand state comprising 15 districts of UP and MP states. He is associated with Indian National Congress and has won 2004 state elections, winning with a majority of over 12% votes.
As a film actor, he is associated with cinema since early 1980s. He has also directed and produced a few movies, though his directorial career has not been so promising. His directorial venture Pratha carried a social message, but ended into lot of controversy. He also booked a major loss with the movie’s flop. He also made a crossover English film "That Game Of Chess". 'Beyond Khajuraho' is his upcoming flick and his dream project. Mujhe Chaand Chahiye, Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na, Tara, Farman and Bible Ki Kahaniya are some of his mini screen roles. He made a silent exit from small screen a few years back and returned 5 years later, playing the role of Vanraj Ranawat in Babul Ka Aangan Chhutey Na.
His full name is Raja Rajeshwar Pratap Singh Judev and he was born into a royal family of Jhansi, UP. He is married to Sushmita Mukherjee, who was formerly married to film director Sudhir Mishra. The couple has three children. He is a graduate from National School of Drama, 1978 batch. Later he was associated with FIIT in Pune. Bundela acted in Naseeruddin Shah starrer film 'Aadharshila', which was one of his earliest film appearances. He started Bundelkhand Mukti Morcha in 1995, demanding a separate state.
