Rajeev Paul Biography

Rajeev Paul is a popular television actor and poet. He has written a book named “Mumbai Mohabbat aur Tanhai" (2012) which became the bestselling book of poetry in Hindi. He received good responses from celebrities too for this book. He has also participated in Bigg Boss season 6 of Colors TV. Doordarshan serial, ‘Swabhimaan’ was his first break and later he appeared in many serials like Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari, Meher, Aati Rahengi Baharein, Rishtey, Zameen Se Aassman Tak, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Saarrthi and Aati Rahengi Baharein. He has done vast variety of roles he has done from Swabhimaan to Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki to Nach Baliye He was married to popular television and film actress Delnaaz Paul. Rajeev first met the TV actor for the first time on the sets of Parivartan, a television serial. But they got divorced in 2012 after 14 years of married life. His career up and downs and tensions have been cited as one of the major reasons behind their separation. Rakesh Paul, a popular television actor is his sibling.

Rajeev was born in Ajmer on 5th June 1970. He started his career as a television actor with Mahesh Bhatt’s television soap Swabhimaan. Later he got a few more roles. But all roles were of common ‘negative’ shades. Ekta Kapoor offered him a role in the serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii which became the real breakthrough for his acting career. He played negative role in this daily soap. Later he played noted roles in Saarrthi, Twinkle Beauty Parlour Lajpat Nagar and Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari.

He has also participated in dance reality show of Star Plus – Nach baliye in 2007. In 2012, he participated in Bigg Boss 6 where he finished sixth. Now he appears in television show, Aahat at midnights since 2012. Rajeev is now busy with his first album. Album is also called Mumbai Mohabbat Aur Tanhai, where he releases his poems in the form of an album.
