Yogesh Tripathi Biography

Yogesh Tripathi is a popular television actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He is best known for portraying the role of Police Inspector Happu Singh in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Jijaji Chhat Per Hain and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan are other popular roles. He is associated with Hindi Television industry since 2006 and has played various roles in the investigation series, FIR for many years between 2006 and 2015. He currently plays the lead role of Daroga Happu Singh in the comedy sitcom Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, since March 2019. The show is a spin-off of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, the show which gave him initial recognition.

Yogesh Tripathi hails from Rath, Hamirpur in Uttar Pradesh. He was born in year 1979. He started his acting career with theatre in Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts. He was a stage actor before joining television industry, and was popular in the local circle. Later he tried to make it big and moved to the dream city of Mumbai for higher opportunities. Though he was a stage actor, it was not an easy task to get a role in films or television. He doesn’t hold any filmy background. He attended auditions for more than a year and bagged his first opportunity through TV ads.

He got his break with Chlormint advertisement, and later appeared in nearly 50 ads. It helped him to get opportunities from television. He was spotted by director Shashank Bali, who gave him the first break through FIR. Over the years he appeared in different characters for the longest running investigation series of Indian television. Later his appearance in a few comedy sit-coms established him as an actor. He has played a brief role in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Paa.
