She played lead role in popular television series, Captain Vyom and gained momentum through daily soaps – Kangan in which she played the role of a princess, Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye as Mallika (2001) and The Great Maratha as Mahad Ji Sindha's wife. She is not regular in movies and has appeared only in two movies till now - Saatchya Aat Gharat and Hulla, apart from her debut movie, Yash.
This successful model with cute looks was born on March 17, 1977 in Goa. Her full name is Kartika Devi Rane. She is the niece of ex-Chief Minister of Goa Pratapsingh Rane. Rane completed sociology from Sophia College, Mumbai and entered to Modelling industry. It paved her way to movies and television. Very soon she became one of the leading ladies of small screen and for her cute looks she received many successful modelling assignments too. Though she was offered many comic roles similar to her debut TV serial, she didn’t want to typecast herself. So, she waited for the right roles to come in.
She started her modelling career during her college days and has been the face of many brands like Forhans, Dulux, Fair & Lovely, Rin and Vim. She has worked with all leading advertising agencies like McCann Erickson, O&M, ICI, Lintas etc. Once she had a chance meeting with film director, Mukul Anand.
