Mammen Mathew the Chief editor and Managing Director of Malyalam Manorama is the eldest son of former Chief Editor K. M. Mathew of Malayala Manorama was born in 1945. Mammen Mathews is in the field of journalism and publication for last 40+ years. He has Worked vastly in the field of editing as a trainee in national newspapers like The Times of India Delhi edition. But he left Times of India and joined Malayala Manorama as its resident reporter in Delhi. He went on to join the Western Mail (Wales) in 1968 in Cardiff in the United Kingdom.
Later Mammen Mathews worked in The Sunday Times under Harold Evans at London. After having work experience in Western Mall and Cardiff Mammen joined Oklahoma City Times and later the same year went to join as a reporter The Daily Oklahoma in 1969.
But Mammen always wanted to work back at home so he came back to India and took charge as Editor of Malayalam Manorama, Kozhikode branch and also as General Manager a little while later. He became Managing Editor of Malayala Manorama in Kottayam in 1980, and the Editor as well as the Managing Director in 1988.
