Manvinder Bisla Biography
Manvinder Bisla is an Indian cricketer associated with IPL games. He plays as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman for his team. He currently plays for Goa in first class cricket matches and the Royal Challengers Bangalore as an IPL player. He has been associated with IPL games since 2009, and has been a player for Deccan Chargers (2009), Kings XI Punjab (2010), Kolkata Knight Riders (2011–2014) and Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2015. He shot to fame when he powered Kolkata Knight Riders to their maiden IPL title in 2012.
His full name is Manvinder Singh Bisla. He was born on 27 December 1984 in Hisar, Haryana. He started playing domestic cricket in the year 2002, starting off with Ranji matches for his home state, Haryana. The following season he played for Himachal Pradesh and is associated with team Goa since 2012. Though he was picked up by Deccan Chargers in 2009 he didn’t get an opportunity to play any IPL match. He played his first IPL match in the year 2010 for Kings XI Punjab.
Since 2011, he has been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders for four seasons. He also played the role of a wicket-keeper for his team for his first five matches. He also played as the opener batsman for his team aside Kallis and succeeded in making a partnership of 145 runs in the opening wicket. He played an outstanding innings as an all-rounder in 2012 and played a pivot role for his team to win the maiden IPL title. He was given Man of the Match title in the finals played against Chennai Super Kings.
Though he has a huge fan following crowd, he invited controversies for his misbehavior with Rahul Dravid in an IPL game. He is one among those wicketkeeper batsmen belonging to India-A team who made a mark in 20-20 matches. Till now he has played 49 first class matches, 38 list-A matches and 61 T20s.
