Humayun’s Tomb was built by Hamida Banu Begum, the widow of Humayun in 1565 A.D. This is a good example of Mughal architecture and has a blue dome made of Persian tiles.

There is a mosque and enclosure of Isa Khan, one of the nobles of Sher Shah. In the Humayun’s Tomb you will find a resting bay called ‘Arab Serai’, The tomb is situated on a platform with channels filled with water built on each side of it.

If you climb on to its roof, you can see the surrounding places including Jama Masjid and Qutab Minar with your naked eye. This monument is open to all on all days of the week.
