Boby Techi Biography 
Boby Techi is an Indian singer associated with independent music. She is best known as indie pop singer. She is also a songwriter and actor. As a film actress, she marked her acting debut with Stranger In My Land in 2014 – an English/Hindi documentary-style short film in which she played a supporting role of Mapuii, the job applicant from Mizoram. Boby Techi was the Winner of LG SONGSTAR of the year 2013 (K-Pop India Contest), an adaptation of the Pop music format originating in South Korea. Her first debut single 'Only you', was released in 2014. Her second single 'Black and White' was released one year later.
Boby Techi was born on 9 January 1990 in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh into Donyi-Polo Family. Her father is an engineer. She has 4 siblings. She grew up in Arunachal Pradesh, where she had her schooling. Since school days she has been interested in singing and other competitions, and won many prizes as well. She was inclined towards music since then. She studied in Donyi Polo Vidya Bhawan, and later completed her graduation as well. She is deeply influenced by western singers and artists. She completed her Master’s degree in Creative Writing in Delhi.
She started her professional career in 2010. She was the lead vocalist of the all girl band ‘The Vinyl Records’ then. K-Pop India gave her major break in her profession she was waiting for, where she emerged as winner. Before that Techi toured with the Korean pop-rock band BIURET for their maiden visit in India. She also appeared in many music festivals as a part of her travels. Techi made her minor role debut in the 2014 film Stranger In My Land. Yet music remains her first love always.
