Harish Sivaramakrishnan Biography
Harish Sivaramakrishnan is an Indian singer from Kerala, associated with independent music. He is a group member of Agam, a Bangalore-based contemporary Carnatic progressive rock band. Agam released its debut album - The Inner Self Awakens in October 2012. Their sophomore album "A Dream to Remember" was launched in 2017. The band got public attention for the first time after winning “Ooh la la la” – Music reality show hosted by Sun TV, and judged by A. R. Rahman, 2007. Winner of Bite My Music Global awards for Best Collaboration and Collaboration with Shreya Ghoshal on the single "Live again" are other major achievements. Harish has also collaborated artists like music composer Ifthi for many independent albums.
Harish Sivaramakrishnan belongs to a middle class family of Kerala. A man with different hats - engineer, marketer, designer and rockstar, he is immensely successful as a singer and engineer. He was one of the first engineers to work on Adobe’s Flex platform and he is designing UX and UI’s. By the age of 14 or 15, he made his career choice to become an engineer, though he didn’t have much idea about the field. He completed his engineering degree from the prestigious BITS Pilani.
Soon after studies he got job at Ascendum Solutions, where he worked as a JS engineer. The music band was formed in 2003 with majority of students from BITS Pilani. The band participated in the reality show, “Ooh la la la” in 2007 and earned big break after winning the title. The music band entered film music with 2017 bilingual film, Solo starring Dulquer Salman. The songs like Aalayaal Thara Venam (revived) were well appreciated.
