Kavitha Gowda Biography
Kavitha Gowda is a south Indian film actress who works in Kannada movies and TV shows. She made an impressive film debut through Srinivasa Kalyana in 2016, and her performance in her next release, First Love (2017) was also appreciated. As of 2020 she appeared in two more Kannada films - Huttu Habbada Shubhashayagalu and Gubbi Mele Brahmastra (2019). Apart from movies she is regular in television shows, and has appeared in more than half a dozen of TV shows till now. She participated in Bigg Boss Kannada season 6, and was the only female contestant to complete 100 days in the house.
Kavitha Gowda was born on 26 July 1992 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Kavitha made her debut in acting with the popular Tamil television show Mahabharatham. Later she joined Kannada television industry before moving to Kannada big screen. Her performance as a village belle in her debut Kannada show, Lakshmi Baramma (2013) was well received, and she is still known for this work. It is the second longest running Kannada serial. She is also recognized as "Chinnu", the character she played in this show. Later she worked in TV shows - Neeli, Pandian stores, Vidya Vinayaka etc belonging to Kannada and Tamil languages, and earned immense popularity from both.
She made an impressive big screen debut with Kannada film Srinivasa Kalyana and her second movie, First Love also garnered her positive response. She participated in the Bigg Boss Kannada season 6, followed by Thaka Dimi Tha Dancing Star, a dancing reality show on Colors Kannada and reached semi-finals. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Gubbi Mele Brahmastra in 2019 was her last theatre release, where she played lead role opposite Raj B. Shetty.
