Raghava Lawrence Biography
Raghav Lawrence is an Indian choreographer who also acts in films. He is also a playback singer, composer and director and has appeared in supporting roles in some films. He has won many awards for his choreography including Filmfare Awards.
Raghav Lawrence was born on 9th January 1971 as Raghav Murugaiyan in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. He was a Christian who was converted to Hinduism. He suffered due to brain tumor in his childhood days and had to struggle to get out of it and this made him to help the needy people. To extend his helping hand, he founded a charitable trust called Lawrence Charitable Trust and he also runs a home for physically disabled.
He is married and has a child. His mother tongue is Tamil. Rajinikanth encouraged him to come to film industry and he started his career as a dancer. Initially he worked with Shiva Shankar and Prabhu Deva. His debut movie was Parthen Rasithen in Tamil. He has directed some Telugu films like Mass, Style, Rebel and Don.
Some of the films that he has worked as a choreographer include Master, Amarkalam, Annayya, Mrigaraju, Hanuman Junction, Baba, Indra, Simhadri, Tagore, Satyam, Varsham, Ashok, Adavi Ramudu, Mass, Chatrapati, Jai Chiranjeeva, Style, Stalin, Muni, Sivaji: The Boss, Chirutha, etc.
Some of the films that he has acted include Gentleman, Parthen Rasithen, Parthale Paravasam, Baba, Style, Tagore, Satyam, Thirumalai, Muni, Pandi, Rajadhi Raja, Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam, etc.
