Mano Biography 
Mano is an Indian playback singer, an actor and a voice artist who appears in films and television programs. He has received many awards for his excellent performance including Kalaimamani Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu and Nandi Award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
He was born on 26th October 1965 in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. His birth name was Nagoor Babu. His father’s name is Rasool and his mother’s name is Shaheeda. His father was a musician who worked with All India Radio and his mother was a stage actress. He started acting in stage shows from his younger days and later got his training in classical music from Nedanuri Krishnamurthy. He then started acting in supporting characters in films.
In 1979, he had to replace S. P. Balasubramanyam in a song when SPB could not come to the studio. He proved himself at that time and started singing regularly in the composition of M. S. Viswanathan.
Ilayaraja changed his name to Mano and in 1987 he got a big break after the film Enga Ooru Pattukkaran. The songs Shenbagame Shenbagame and Madhura Marikozhundhu Vaasam became all time favorites.
He married Jameela and has two sons Shakir and Rafi. He hosts the musical talk show in Jaya TV Manathodu Mano. He also worked as judge for the reality show Airtel Super Singer Junior aired on Vijay TV and for the musical show Idea Super Singer on Maa TV.
