Mano Murthy Biography 
Mano Murthy is a famous music director of Kannada film industry. He is a film producer also who won National Award 2004 for Best Movie - Preeti Prema Pranaya. He is an entrepreneur also who co-founded three companies in California. He was a programmer in Microsoft before entering the world of music. He has given music to many blockbusters of Kannada like Mungaru Male, Jokefalls, Maathaad Maathaadu Mallige, America! America!, Cheluvina Chittara, Nanna Preethiya Hudugi, Milana, E Bandana, Preethi Prema Pranaya, Amrithadhare, Pancharangi, Milana and Lifeu Ishtene. He has also composed the songs of popular Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam’s solo album in Kannada - Neene Bari Neene (2009). Now he is also judging a singing reality show called 'Fresh voice of Karnataka' on Public TV.
He started his music career in the year 1995 with the movie, America! America! directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar. The movie was a hit at box office and his songs became popular. After giving a series of hit songs for the movies, Nanna Preethiya Hudugi, Preethi Prema Pranaya, Amrithadhare and Jokefalls, his big break happened in the form of Mungaru Male in the year 2006. This record collection movie gave him debut awards in his music career as well. This movie won him the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director as well as Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director. After that Murthy didn’t look back and went on to become one of the leading composers of the industry.
He won his second Filmfare award in the following year for the movie Milana, for which he won Suvarna Film Award for Best Music Director as well. He won South Cine Fans Award Chennai - 2003 for Best Music Director for the movie Preeti Prema Pranaya. He has also received many honours including Karnataka Chitrarasikara Sangha Award, Sansui Shri Gandha Award, Hello Gandhinagar Award and Karnataka Chitrarasikara Sangha Award.
