Priti Menon Biography

Priti Menon is a UK based singer of Indian origin. Also known as Priti Surendran, she is of Kerala origin. Her cover songs of Bollywood chartbusters are viral over net. A few of her popular cover songs include – "Teri Meri" Remix, "Hai Rama - Charles Bosco Remix", "Nenjukkule”, "Soniye Hiriye”, “Chupke Se”, "Paani da rang”. “Teri Meri” of Bodyguard featuring Arjun Coomaraswamy went viral over net. "Chupke Se", “Ayaan”, "Tujhe Maan loon", "Khabida" and "Om Namah Shivaya" are her popular singles. She is a trained singer in Carnatic Music currently living at London.

 

She was born to south Indian parents in Mumbai in the year 1985. Later she moved to London. She won Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Online Talent Hunt in 2010, marking her singing journey. This UK based singer is quite popular for her cover version Bollywood songs. She got noticed when she performed aside Glasgow New music biennial, at the Common Wealth Games in 2014. She performed "You run on tracks, not roads". Beautiful and talented Priti Menon is a trained classical singer too. She has collaborated with artists and musical entities for many of her songs and became successful too. Khabida was her first musical video.

 

She is a great fan of A. R. Rahman and sees this musician as her inspiration. She always dreamt to do something her own and loves to do Rahman songs. Her debut single Khabida was shot by an old friend of hers, who is a photographer and videographer. The music video was shot at Birminham at sub-zero temperatures and shot in a single day. Khabida – was a melodious classical number using Indian classical music instruments.
