Vipin Patwa Biography
Vipin Patwa is an upcoming music composer and singer associated with Bollywood films. He hails from Gorakhpur. He has sung with Arijit Singh in Bollywood Diaries and a solo in Laal Rang, followed by his third single in ‘Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana’, and these songs were composed by Patwa. As a music composer, he has recorded songs with Sonu Nigam, Mika, KK, Shaan, Shreya Goshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Arjit Singh. Sonu Nigam also called him "Vilakshan". Firrkie, Hum Char, Daas Dev, Kaashi in Search of Ganga etc are some of his upcoming projects. He completed his BA, MA and M. Phil all in music.
Vipin was born on 1 October 1982 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh into a business family. He was brought up in Delhi, where he completed his studies. He got deeply attached to music during his early teens. He started learning Hindustani music at the age of 14. He took Hindustani musical lessons from Pandit Harish Tiwari of the Kirana gharana, and also completed his graduation and post-graduation in Indian classical music, followed by M Phil. degree in music from Delhi University where he specialized on ghazals. He also finished his six-year course “Sangeet Prabhakar”.
While he was doing his academics in music, he joined All India Radio in 2002. He was a music composer then, associated with jingles and songs. He also composed theme songs and promotional songs for Congress party for their campaigns. He moved to Mumbai in 2009. Joe Rajan’s Luv U Soniyo was his first break in Bollywood, for which he composed all its 6 songs. After that he got good offers from Bollywood films. After working as a composer for a while, now he is shifting his focus towards singing.
