Aakash Dahiya Biography
Aakash Dahiya is a Bollywood character artist and a prominent casting director. Started with Delhi
theater, he later worked as an associate casting director with his friend Mukesh Chhabra in Bollywood.
They together have worked as casting directors for many Bollywood hits in the recent times. 2009
Kaminey was his first movie as an actor and Chillar Party in 2011, his first credited role. Shahid, Force,
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, D-Day, Kai Po Che!, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Highway, Chillar party and
Rockstar are some of his noted works as an associate casting director.
He played character roles in Bollywood movies like Chillar party, Mastram, Bobby Jasoos, Siddharth,
Rockstar, D- Day and Gangs of Wasseypur. He dreams to become a director someday and wants to
work with Anurag Kashyap. Aslam in D-Day is his most noticed acting role up-to-date and he received
appreciation and praises from critics for this supporting role.
He is a Delhite, born in the year 1983. His grandfather served in Indian army and also ran a local theater
group, where his father used to perform. He was a brilliant actor and dreamt to join film industry which
never happened. So he wanted his son to join film industry. He lost his father to brain cancer, just a
few days before the shooting of Bobby Jasoos. Born and raised in Delhi, Aakash has been a part of Shri
Surendra Sharma’s Rang Saptak where he honed his acting skills. He was associated with theatre for 6
long years before he decided to move to Mumbai, in search of better opportunities. He received an offer
from his friend Mukesh Chabra, to join as his associate marking his entry to Bollywood.
