Alexx O Nell Biography
Alexx O'Nell is an Indian actor and musician of American origin. He works in Bollywood as an actor of supporting roles and has appeared in movies like Chittagong (2012), Cheeni Kum (2007), Jo Dooba So Paar (2011), Joker (2012) etc. Yet as an actor, he got instant recognition through south Indian language movies. He has also appeared in Malayalam movies like Urimi and Gangster. His first full-fledged role was Tamil movie – Madrasapattinam where he played a cruel racist British officer named Robert Ellis. Multi-lingual Vasco Da Gama, directed by Santosh Sivan is his upcoming movie. He was also seen in celebrity dance competition Nach Baliye (season 3) pairing with Shweta Keswani (his future wife) and he is the first non-Indian to gain attention through this show. The couple finished 4th in the show. He is also associated with rock bands as a singer and guitarist.
He was born in Connecticut, United States in 1980. He started his acting career through regional theater in US. Later he turned a model and appeared in television ads and thus he appeared in Indian ads as well. Cheeni Kum (2007) and Loins of Punjab Presents (2007) are his earliest big screen appearance. But it was through celebrity dance show, Nach Baliye, Nell gained quick attention. It was followed by his big break in the form of Tamil movie, Madrasapattinam (2010) where he played villain’s role. Later he appeared in Bollywood movies like Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein and Jo Dooba So Paar. He also played a cameo role in L. Vijay's Thaandavam (2012).
Malayalam big budget movie, Urumi with Prithviraj in the lead role is his most memorable performance up-to-date. He played double role in this movie. The movie was directed by talented director Santosh Sivan, who casted him in his next movie in triple role. The movie titled Vasco Da Gama is yet to get released. He was married to famous television actress, Shweta Keswani since 2008. They got married in 4 different marriage ceremonies. But the couple got divorced in 2011.
