Amit Sial Biography
Amit Sial is a Bollywood actor who appears in lead and supporting roles. He played lead role of a channel reporter in 2010 controversial movie of Ekta Kapoor - Love Sex aur Dhokha, which was a commercial success. His early appearances were in supporting roles and ‘Love Sex aur Dhokha’ was his big break to Bollywood which promised him many leading roles later. He debut big screen in 2008, playing lead role in ‘Hope and a Little Sugar’. Later he played lead roles in movies like Love Sex aur Dhokha, Charlie ke Chakkar Mein (2013) and Kuku Mathur ki Jhand ho Gayi (2013). Other noted roles are Issaq (2013), Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010) and Coffin maker (2013).
He belongs to Kanpur, UP and was born in the year 1975. His father was a businessman and his mother, a librarian. During his childhood days, he was inspired a lot by megastar Amitabh Bachchan and seeing his screen presence, Amit too desired to become an actor one day. His mother recognized his ambitions and real potential and encouraged him a lot to build up a career in movies and acting. Thus he started participating in theater activities while at Kanpur during his younger days. His first professional play was "Blood Brothers" in 1995. Under the compulsion of his parents, he took a Post-Graduation Diploma in International Business from Melbourne, Australia, because they felt that acting is not a safe profession to fully depend upon.
Once returned back to India, he worked under a business firm for a short period. But his real passion was acting and hence he quit professional career to join entertainment industry. Thus he moved to Mumbai in 2004 and got his first break through Tanuja Chandra’s Indian-American film, Hope and a Little Sugar where he played the main lead.
