Anita Bhat Biography
Anita Bhat is a south Indian film actress who works in Tulu and Kannada movies. As an actress, she is best known for the movies - Shutterdulai (2016) – a Tulu remake of Malayalam thriller film Shutter and Kannada comedy drama - Days of Borapura (2018). She played female lead in both these releases. The films didn’t meet with audience’ expectations and trembled down at box office. Anita was also seen in Bigg Boss Kannada – Kannada version of popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ aired in 2013, where she was one among the contestants. She got eliminated earlier in the show.
Anita Bhat is a noted Kannada and Tulu actress of present times. Quite known for her controversial photo shoot for her semi-nude pictures or staying in a live-in relationship with a married man, Anita has always remained in spotlight for all wrong reasons. She had asserted that she knew it earlier that he was a married man, and they had a live-in relationship for more than three years. But the relationship broke soon after the man’s wife found it out. Anita also participated in the controversial show, ‘Bigg Boss Kannada’ in 2013.
Some of her film releases include - Shutterdulai (2016) and Days of Borapura (2018). She has just completed the shooting of ‘Preetsoru’ where she plays a retro role. It is a love story that happened 15-20 years ago. In her most recent release, ‘Days of Borapura’, she played a village belle. ‘Tagaru’ is yet another project, where she plays a negative role for the first time.
Her debut flick Shutterdulai was a remake of Malayalam film titled Shutter. She played the lead role of a prostitute in this film, who gets trapped with a married man inside a closed shop. But the movie couldn’t repeat the success of its original version. Her second film, Days of Borapura too received bad reviews and was a box office failure.
