Anjali Aneesh Upasana, also known by the name Bhagyanjali is a popular actress associated with Malayalam and Tamil film industry. She is married to reputed still photographer and Malayalam film director Aneesh Upasana, known for the movies, - Matinee and Seconds. The couple has one daughter. Anjali had a brief stint in the world of fashion, and the media and advertisement industries, before she moved to film and television industry. She has also anchored several TV shows. Got stuck with numerology she changed her name to Bhagyanjali.
Anjali was born in Ernakulam, Kerala in 1984. She schooled at Thrippunithura and later completed graduation from N. S. S. College in Tripunithura. She started her career as a model during her college days to get pocket money. She has been featured in many advertisements. She has acted in more than 75 albums and advertisement campaigns. Her success in modelling industry gave her offers from films and television. She started off anchoring shows before her film debut. She acted in 5 album songs including La Cochin.
2011 Malayalam film Seniors marked her acting debut where she played a supporting role of Kunchakko Boban’s sister. The movie was a major success at box office. She is a successful TV anchor too. Till now she has acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. Venicile Vyaapaari, Pattom Pole, 100 Degree Celsius, Scene 1 Nammude veedu, ABCD, and 5 Sundarikal are some of her noted Malayalam roles. She was also seen in Tamil films, Nellu (debut film), Unnai Kaathalippen and Kotti. She had earlier made headlines when she filed case against Velu for giving her death threats if disproved marriage with him. She worked with him for the Tamil film - Unnai Kadalikiren.
