Anshuman Jha is a noted film and theatre actor, who shot to instant fame with commercial hit, ‘Love Sex aur Dhoka’ - the movie has three sub-plots involving honour killings, MMS scandals, and sting operations. . The entire movie was shot on a digital camera and it became India’s first movie to be released in the found footage style. He was paired aside Nushrat Bharucha in one of the subplots. Kismat Love Paisa Dilli and Boyss Toh Boyss Hain are other released movies. X, Fugly, Bakra-pur and Chauranga are his upcoming movies. Before debuting big screen as an actor, he has worked as an assistant director for a few movies. Black and White of Subhash Ghai, Paying Guests of Paritosh Painter and Peter Gaya Kaam Se of John Owen are the movies for which he played the role of an assistant director.

He started his career as a theater artist at the age of 13. His acting journey was started when he came to Mumbai from Delhi for Summer Time Acting Workshops at Prithvi Theatre. "Jhagrapoor" at "Lalchi" at Prithvi Theatre marked his debut as a professional stage actor at the age of 15. He finished the Diploma Acting Course from Barry John's Academy at the age of 17, thus becoming the youngest actor to complete the course. Then he acted in "It’s All About Money Honey" of theatre director Barry John in the year 2002. Then he permanently got shifted to Mumbai where he completed his graduation and worked as a theater artist as well.

He also worked as assistant director to a few film directors before his debut as a lead actor in Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee's Love Sex aur Dhokha. He has also appeared in several commercial ads of Pepsi and Tata Sky ads are most popular.
