Aravinnd Singh Biography

Aravinnd Singh is a famous cinematographer from Tamil film industry, who made a sensational debut with his work in 2015 film, Demonte Colony. Aarathu Sinam (2016) and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal (2018) are his other released works. Currently he is working on an untitled work of Hiphop Tamizha and also Shaitan Ka Bachcha, a Tamil action comedy film written and directed by Karthik G. Krish. He has also done brief roles in Tamil movies like Bench Talkies - The First Bench (2013) and Thakka Thakka (2015). Yet he earned success as a cinematographer in the industry.

 

Aravinnd Singh, also pronounced as Aravind Singh hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His family is into construction business in Vellore. His childhood days were spent in Vellore where he completed his school education and completed his higher secondary from Chennai. After doing B.Sc. Visual communication, he specialized in filmmaking with a post-graduate degree from Whistling Woods international in Mumbai. A brilliant student during his academic years, he was selected for the student exchange program involving a course in Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. He got opportunity to study Film Direction, Editing, and Sound Design, which helped him a lot in his future.

 

He began his profession in cinema industry working as an assistant to cinematographer Santosh Sivan in the films Urumi and Thuppakki. In 2015 he got his first offer through Demonte Colony, a horror thriller film directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu. The movie was a major hit, received critical acclaim and Aravinnd’s work got noticed. His work was visually appealing which pleased the critics. Very soon he bagged some good projects from Tamil cinema. Shaitan Ka Bachcha and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal are his upcoming releases.
