Auritra Ghosh Biography
Auritra Ghosh is a Bollywood film actress who is active in theatre as well. She is a trained dancer and popular model also. She is specialized in theatre and contemporary dance. She got noted in a series of Google ads that went viral in 2013, and after that she bagged many important assignments in her professional career. In 2013 she played a parallel lead in an independent feature film M Cream, starring theatre personalities Ira Dubey, Emaad Shah and Raghav Chanana. She marked her Bollywood debut with 2011 film, Love Breakups Zindagi, where she played a supporting role.
Auritra hails from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her family originally belongs to Bengal and she was brought up in Delhi. She currently lives in Mumbai. Since young she had a passion to do something creative. She started her career in the performing arts at the age of 16. Earlier she has been trained in Kathak. Joined The Danceworx - Performing Arts Academy in 2001, she also learnt jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary dance. A quick learner she became a full time instructor and choreographer with the academy one year later.
Made her film debut in 2011 with the film Love Breakups Zindagi, later she worked in the movies – Swen, M Cream, All the Lost Souls and Dharam Sankat Mein. She played female lead in the recent Bollywood release, Dharam Sankat Mein (2015). The movie also starred Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Annu Kapoor in lead roles. The film received mixed reviews from critics. She acted in Shaadi Vaadi, a tele-film done by MTV. She was featured in the advertisement for Google, titled Reunion. The ad went viral over the net.
