Diganta Hazarika Biography
Diganta Hazarika is an Indian model and actor. He has appeared in a few Hindi and Assamese TV series and also a few films belonging to these two languages. He predominantly works in Assamese entertainment industry and was seen in Hrithik Roshan’s 2016 epic drama, Mohenjo Daro in a supporting role. The movie marked his acting debut in Bollywood too. He has been a part of Hindi telenovela aired on Star Plus in 2014-2015. Rest of his films and TV shows belong to Assamese languages. He also played the lead role of a film director in Hindi short film, Blindspot opposite Anupriya Goenka.
Diganta Hazarika was born on 23 September 1984 in Nagaon, Assam. He has been a model by profession before joining film and television industry. From Assam to Bollywood, he had a magical journey till now. He gives a lot of attention to physical fitness, and has remained a successful model before joining films. Actors like Hrithik Roshan and Arnold’s film Commando inspired him a lot in this case. He appeared in various ramp shows across North East since 2004 and he’s one of the few models who walked more than 200 ramps in the region.
His first stint as an actor was a VCD Film Rajesh Bhuyan, in a supporting role. Utpal Das played main lead for this film, alongside Rimpi Das and Stuti Choudhury. “Madhuri” was his second VCD film directed by Simple Gogoi. In 2009 Diganta Hazarika acted in Ki Naam Di Matim, a video film by Manas Baruah, and he earned recognition for the first time. In 2012 he marked his Assamese feature film debut with Rishang, and Rowd, Grahan, Anuradha and The Underworld got released later.
