Ganesh Acharya Biography

Ganesh Acharya is a very popular choreographer of Bollywood. He acts in movies occasionally too. He is most known for Govinda songs. He has finely choreographed a few Madhuri Dixit songs too. He has won Filmfare awards once for Beedi song of Omkara. Aisa jaadoo daala re of Khakhi gave him Zee cine awards while he was nominated for Badi muskil hai of movie Lajja for Screen Weekly Awards for best choreography.

Ganesh was born as Sivaji Ganesan in Tamil Nadu. He lost his father at a younger age and due to financial crisis, he stopped studying. He learnt primary lessons of dancing from his sister. He later assisted famous choreographer Kaal. He formed his own dance group at the age of 19 and Aanam released in the year 1992 is his first movie.

He often appears in his choreographed songs too and has acting skills. Other hits of Ganesha include – Chikni chameli of Ageen path, Koi aaye to of Ghatak, Khullam khulla of Road, Jogan jogan of badai ho badai and Masti ki paatsala of rang de basanthi.
