Gopichand Biography

Gopichand is an Indian film actor who concentrates in Telugu film industry. He hails from the cinematic family and his father is a filmmaker. He started his film career in 2002 with the film Tholi Valapu and is in the industry for nearly a decade.

The birth name of Gopichand is Tottempudi Gopichand. He was born on 12^th June 1979 in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. His father was T. Krishna but he died when Gopichand was just 8 years old. He completed his schooling at Chennai and did his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Russia.

He had one elder brother named T. Premchand who is a film director and has a sister who is a dentist. Gopichand did not have interest in films when he was a college student. His brother was working as an associate director to Mutyala Subbayya and started to work on a film under his own banner when he unfortunately died of a car accident. Gopichand was in Russia at that time and could not attend his funeral due to Visa constraints.

After completing his engineering degree, he did dialogue modulation course planning to enter film industry. He got dialogue modulation training from Kakarala whom he considers as his guru. He worked as a news reader in E TV before he performed in the lead role in his debut film Tholi Valapu. However this film was a commercial failure. Then he did some negative role in the films like Varsham, Nijam and Raghu.

He got a break in the film industry in 2004 through the film Yagnam. This was successful at box office and established him as a hero. He is noted for his fights. Then he got chances to perform in the films like Andhrudu, Ranam, Raraju, Okkadunnadu, Lakshyam, Ontari, Souryam, Sankham, Golimaar, Wanted, Mogudu, etc.
